12WBT - 23/02/11

Happy birthday to me.  Happy birthday to me.  Happy birrrrrrrrthday ;) (okay, reading that is not as painful as listening to me sing it in my head - just sayin')

How utterly pants is it that my birthday coincides with not only the third official day of the 12WBT but also the silly nutrition bootcamp I signed up for...oh - let's not forget the dreaded weigh-in day :s  How is a bloke supposed to celebrate his 26th birthday in style?  Wait.  I don't celebrate birthdays...  haha.

A group of us at work went to Wagamama's for lunch.  As you might've guessed from Sunday's post, I love Wagamama.  I love it to bits.  I would say I love it more than I love myself, but that ain't never gonna be a happening thing ;)  Ended up having a beef salad - small dish.  Surprisingly, it was more than enough for me.  Even though I was good and didn't eat the kumara that was in it, I was naughty and had an apple, mint & lime juice.  Oh well.  You only turn 26 once in life (you might just happen to celebrate it more than that though...8 and counting ;) ).

When I got home I toyed with the idea of going to the gym.  Really?  On my birthday?  I'm not a sadist!  I may not enjoy my birthday but seriously...  Instead I treated myself to The Biggest Loser Cardio Killer DVD - the first time in 2011, I might add.  Just about killed me again, but I was doing much better in some exercises than I was at the end of last year.  Go team me!  I was paying more attention to my HR so that I tried to stay in the zone more (and I have to say, I think the zone has been lowered a little...  hmm).  Oh.  The HRM is cool.  Even though I'm not allowed a birthday cake, it has a picture of one for me.  Bless :)

  2. Hey! I can still pass for 26! (well, with my failing eyesight, I can ;) ).

Birthdays - just another day. No need to get excited about 'em.
